Wine Tours

The second chapter is devoted to Tuscan Wines, enhancing encounters with the wine artisans and the result of their ingenious work. In mid eighteen-hundred, count Ricasoli for the Chianti Classico, Biondi Santi for Brunello, and a few decades later Adamo Fanetti for the Nobile di Montepulciano believed and focused on the fi ne wine mainly produced from Sangiovese. Since then Sangiovese grape variety became a reason of belonging, maybe a genetic character for the Tuscanity, giving life to the 85% of our total red wine production.

Vine growers and wine makers carefully select the ideal slopes and make a perfect vineyard puzzle, where sangiovese grows prevailing on other indigenous and international varieties. Here they start playing the big game, always looking for the winning mix between tradition and innovation, balance in aging, and magic in blends. Nothing short of a very creative concoction makes hand-crafted wines of authentic character, exceptional body and bouquet.

On the entire Tuscan territory, there are more than 64,000 hectares destined to vine growing, involving more than 50,000 estates, of which 10,800 produce wines with designation of origin, three categories of decreasing strictness: DOCG, DOC, and IGT. The combination of insider access, direct contacts with winery owners, and a careful planning is the base to the Full Day Round Tours and to the Wine Tour Transfers. The itineraries always include private driving, visits and tastings to different wineries and villages, for an uplifting fi ve-sense wine experiences with no limits!
